1. What is identGALA?
identGALA is a system for the manual and automated checking of Container Centralen flower and pot plant trolleys for authenticity. identGALA comprises hardware and software for mobile and stationary applications.
2. Why do I need identGALA?
Container Centralen as operator of the CC container pool uses RFID technology to protect the pool from infiltration with fake trolleys. Every single genuine trolley has a red RFID tag in addition to the CC metal plate.
Since January 10, 2011 only trolleys are accepted that proof to have a genuine RFID padlock from Container Centralen. The identGALA system helps you to easily check if a RFID padlock is present and if it is real.
3. What advantages does identGALA provide?
identGALA enables a quick, easy and safe authentication of your trolleys. The uniform user interface guaranties a consistent workflow whether you are using the hand terminal or an automatic checking system.
In addition to checking authenticity identGALA offers functions for administration of shelves and corner posts or lorry number plates etc. – you define the functions according to your needs via an easy to follow menu. Captured data can be exported as CSV file.
On request every identGALA system can be integrated with your IT system.
4. How does identGALA work?
identGALA checks if a transponder is fixed to a trolley and if so, it checks if this transponder is a genuine CC RFID padlock. A visual and audible message is generated in case the transponder is real, and a warning if it is a wrong transponder.
5. What is special about the identGALA 1200 handheld?
identGALA 1200 is a very robust scanner with high reading performance and a long life battery for a full days working. The reading power can be adjusted for checking single trolleys without bending down. Operation is simple and straight forward via the touch screen display.
A menu allows for creating individual functions like capturing number of shelves or corner posts or lorry number plates, or whatever you need in your process. Data captured can be exported as CSV file. There is also the option to integrate with your IT system. WiFi (WLAN) is already a out of the box feature of identGALA 1200.
The integrated 1D barcode scanner expands the area of use for other processes in your business. Accessories like a camera for direct documentation of e.g. damages or GSM (collect data from your lorry on tour) and GPS further extend the scope of application for identGALA 1200. A charger for use in vehicles is available.
The strong battery allows for working all day without need for charging.
6. Can I connect identGALA with my IT system?
Yes. Via export and import functions you can exchange data in CSV format with other systems (via USB stick). identGALA is an open system that can directly communicate via WiFi (WLAN) or Ethernet with your application (ERP) software when required.
7. Can I store numbers of shelves and corner posts?
Yes. Via a simple menu you can add individual functions.
8. Are identGALA systems approved by Container Centralen?
Yes. identGALA uses the checking algorithm approved by Container Centralen.
9. What is a “Blacklist” and doe identGALA support its updating?
Container Centralen lists any transponders (RFID padlocks) that became suspicious on a so called blacklist. These padlocks are then invalid. Container Centralen regularly offers updates of the blacklist on their website for download. identGALA supports easy updating and reminds when there was no update for a too long period of time.
10. Can I upgrade from a manual to an automated identGALA system?
Yes. You can upgrade an existing system any time.
11. Do I need to bend down when I want to check single trolleys with the handheld identGALA 1200?
12. What is the delivery time of identGALA systems?
Handhelds are usually available from stock. Automated systems take about three weeks for shipping.
13. What additional functions do identGALA systems provide?
identGALA systems can do more than just checking authenticity of the trolley. Via a simple menu you can create additional functions for capturing information on e.g. the number of shelves and corner posts or you can enter the number plate of the lorry just delivering the trolleys of the order number or anything similar you like. All information can be entered via the 1D barcode scanner or the touch display.
Data captured can be exported as CSV file.
14. Can I use identGALA to automatically check stacks of empty trolleys in one go?
Yes. The identGALA 4000 system automatically checks stacks of 10 trolleys by just passing by. Also the identGALA 3000 system can be upgraded for checking stacks in one go.
15. Does identGALA support deliveries during night?
Yes. With an automated identGALA system checking for authenticity of CC trolleys can easily be executed.
16. Will transponders on e.g. plants interfere with the identGALA system?
No. identGALA works reliable even when “strange” transponders are around.
17. Why are the automated identGALA systems equipped with a monitor?
The monitor displays the checking results with visual and audible signals. It is also used for entering additional functions for e.g. capturing the number of shelves or linking with shipping notes or for registration of drivers when delivering at night.
18. Is leasing available for identGALA system?
Yes. You can lease all identGALA system including any services. Please ask for your personal offer.
19. Can I choose a maintenance agreement?
Yes. IdentPro offers maintenance contracts also for the identGALA systems. With a maintenance contract you automatically benefit from hardware and software development and take advantage of preferred service even onsite.
20. Is identGALA future-proof?
Yes. Container Centralen is planning to also tag the shelves with RFID transponders. identGALA will be able to also check those for authenticity. However there is no date available yet when Container Centralen will introduce the additional security in the fight against counterfeit products.
